How to Play Journey to Zero: 501 Darts by Kyle_01
This is a complete guide on playing my Sporcle quiz. I decided to create this because the "More Info" section in the Sporcle quiz has a limit of only 1, 000 characters, and the rules and guidelines for this quiz exceed the character limit. I also made this so that everyone who will take this can completely understand how the game works.
Without further ado, let's proceed to the rules.
A player starts with 501 points, the objective is to throw darts to reduce their score for them to reach zero. When a player throws all of their darts, they will compute their obtained score, and that obtained score is to be subtracted to the initial score of 501. After that round, they will throw another set of darts, compute the obtained score for the second round and subtract it to the remaining score of the first round. It looks like this:
Round 1 remaining score = 501 (initial score) - Round 1 Obtained Score
Round 2 remaining score = Round 1 remaining score - Round 2 Obtained Score
It goes on and on until the player will reach zero.
Scoring:
No points - when a dart lands outside the scoring area.
Single rings (1x for a specific dart)
Double rings (2x for a specific dart) - These are larger rings.
Triple rings (3x for a specific dart) - These are smaller rings.
Bull (25 points) - The green area surrounding the bull's eye.
Bull's eye (50 points) - The red area found exactly at the center of the board.
Example situation
Round 1 score: 180
(Apply the equations posted above)
Round 1 remaining score = 501 (initial score) - Round 1 Obtained Score
= 501 - 180
= 321
Round 2 score: 24
Round 2 remaining score = Round 1 remaining score - obtained score
= 321 - 24
= 297
Repeat the process for every round until you reach zero. This quiz wouldn't have any busts, don't worry.
How to Play the Quiz?
Now that you know the scoring process of darts, you will now probably understand how this quiz would work.
The quiz is a forced order so you have to identify every obtained score in every dartboard and the respective remaining scores in each round.
Each board also has two different boxes, Green and Red. The Green box of the board is where you put the obtained score of the specific board while the Red box is where you would put the remaining score that will be recorded every round.
Refer to the equations above to find the answers that you would input in the quiz. Reminder, you can use a piece of paper or a calculator to help you solve the math problems in this quiz.
That's all and I hope you will have fun playing my quiz!
